3. How We Use Information

We use information to create, authenticate, secure, and manage accounts, organizations, merchants, and customer memberships; provide loyalty pages, QR and manual passes, digital stamps, redemptions, and merchant dashboards; display program records to the relevant merchant and customer; provide support; measure and improve the platform; prevent fraud and abuse; send account, security, verification, service, onboarding, product, and marketing communications where allowed; enforce our terms; and comply with legal obligations.

4. Merchant Access to Customer Information

A merchant and its authorized team members can access information reasonably needed to operate that merchant's program, such as a customer's account identity displayed in the dashboard, membership status, stamp totals, available rewards, and the history of stamps and redemptions for that merchant.

Merchants are independent businesses and are responsible for their own privacy notices, marketing practices, staff access, customer communications, and handling of customer information. Hive Tap does not control how a merchant uses information after it is made available to that merchant.

5. Sharing Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information with service providers that help with hosting, databases, storage, authentication, email delivery, analytics, security, rate limiting, support, and technical operations; with the relevant merchant and its authorized team when a customer joins or uses that merchant's program; with customers when needed to display their own loyalty status and activity; with payment providers if paid plans are offered; with legal authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect people, rights, or the platform; and with transaction parties if Hive Tap or 212 Hive is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, investment, or sale of assets.

6. Cookies, Tracking, and Analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep users logged in, remember preferences, protect accounts, measure performance, understand usage, and provide analytics.

Hive Tap uses product analytics and operational records to measure program activity, dashboard usage, stamps, redemptions, and service performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling some cookies may affect how Hive Tap works.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

  • Account, organization, merchant, program, membership, stamp, redemption, and pass records may be kept while the relevant account or program remains active.
  • Security, audit, verification, fraud-prevention, and legal records may be kept longer when needed to prevent abuse, resolve disputes, enforce terms, or comply with law.
  • We may retain or delete information according to our operational needs, legal obligations, and any applicable account-closure process.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information.

Users can update many account and merchant settings from the Hive Tap dashboard. Customers should contact the relevant merchant about that merchant's own program rules and customer communications, and may contact us for help with Hive Tap account information.

You may opt out of marketing communications where an unsubscribe option is provided.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including authentication, session controls, rate limiting, access controls, short-lived pass controls, and service-provider safeguards.

No online service is completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their credentials and merchants are responsible for managing team access appropriately.

10. International Processing

Hive Tap is operated from Morocco. Some service providers may store or process information in other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or lawful transfer mechanisms for international processing.

11. Children

Hive Tap is not intended for children who are not legally able to use online services or enter into an agreement. Merchants must not knowingly use Hive Tap to collect children's personal information unless they have the legal right to do so.

12. Third-Party Services

Hive Tap may rely on third-party services for infrastructure, authentication, analytics, email, payment processing, or other operations. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their privacy practices, content, availability, safety, fees, or actions.
